I needed to lose some weight. I went from 220 pounds to 200 pounds
in a month. I went on a one steak or fish salad a day diet plus a
one a day vitamin pill. Salad dressing OK. No wheat. You'll save
 money on food.

The steak and fish for the needed protein and the salad for
roughage. No salad and you won't poo for days. Some dried fruit now
and then if you get really hungry but only if you get really hungry.
If you are not hungry from time to time you are not losing weight.

Rode my bicycle at least 5 miles every day. Other sustained exercise
like running will work. Horse Power needed to ride the bike consumes
 fat or food fuel.

I have a scale that is supposed to have a resolution of .1 pound but
I don't think it is that good. More like .2 or .3 pound resolution.
Every day I was somewhat lighter in weight. About a half pound a
day. It is important to weigh your self after you empty your bladder
and bowls and while you are naked. The scale gives you positive
feedback so you know the diet is working.

I also noticed I lost weight while I was sleeping. Curious? I
applied the laws of thermodynamics and decided body temperature was
causing me to lose heat to the cooler atmosphere. It takes fuel to
generate heat or HP. Fuel weighs. Those of us in the engine biz know
that all too well. The body burns fat to make heat.

The accurate scale is the key.

I take it the no wheat is a no carbs, as they are turned to sugars by
digestive system. I am Celiac and can not have wheat, rye or barley. Good
thing I was not overly attached to beer. A cold beer on a hot day sure goes
down nicely though. I found out Corona is gluten free and quite a bit less
expensive than the labeled Gluten Free beers. I believe I became gluten
intolerant after battling beaver fever for 8 months. The stupid doctor sent me
for tests that were meaningless or botched. After 6 months of him telling me I
was lactose intolerant I went to another doctor. He carried through getting me
in to see a specialist who figured out what the problem was right away. Many
of our good doctors went to the USA for more happy cabbage years ago when
Ralph Klein started mouthing off and cut health care and education.
As I get more grey hairs I am finding I need to eat more veggies and fruit.
