Paul,
[It's] Very quiet! Actually lifted to weigh. Came in at 1414
lbs with
extensive exhaust system. Neil.
The CG looks close to perfect.

Neil,
I'm very envious!

howdy, folks. I'm new to this site. I about 80 hours to go before I
start working on the engine installation. I've decided on the
Renesis 1st choice, or an older rotary, but definitely a rotary.
I'm working on a Glastar and was startled seeing the spitting image of
it being devoured by a yellow mantis- like thing on Rotary Engine
News. I've seen the rotary's on barnstormer and really wanted to
buy one, but they seem to be from RV's or pushers, but I need more
info from youse guys who are doing it. I need some help in knowing
about ;the engine supports specific to the glastar. If Neil could
give me some direction, I'd appreciate it. I have Crooks book on the
rotary, but there doesn't seem to be more current literature. I can't
believe that 200 HP is easily possible, esp with the P intakes. Very
nice to see so many important parts available, too, for the intake/
exhaust and other important improvements. I want mine to be extra
quiet also. I tried to get info from the Sportsman guys in Wash, but
they don;t believe in anything, but the Lycosaurs. They wouldn't even
tell me why they don't recommend a sub 6; they just say don't. I'm
believing in the rotary. How do I get to the forums ?

Ask away.
Here is another rotary powered Glastar with a Ross GB done about 6 or 7 or so years
ago by Sigward Ganswindt. Old school plugs up which dates from 1973 by Lew Ross RIP.
I have not heard anything since. I am not even sure if it cooled well.

thankyou for the info and pics. I'm impressed.I'm having a difficult time
understanding how he packed so much stuff in such a small area. The guy was/is
clever. are there any pics neils installation, as that is probably closer to what
my direction will be. If that engine is over 200hp, a little too much goose of the
throttle, and it will probably hop off the taxi-way. where should i go to start
reading about the installation process? I'm wondering if anyone has a plan for the
engine mount construction? I'd better start there before I buy anything. some of
the engines for sale, tho, have a lot of the mount assy, and have the rubber mounts,
too. I need to do some reference reading before i ask answered questions, but how
do you determine to use the 2.1 or 2.8 GB? Neil, if you're there, how did the W&B
look before you installed the cowling? I'm curious as to how far from the firewall
is the end of the GB. any Pics???

I do engine mount plans for free.
The distance varies but usually it is around 39 inches.
The 2.8 gear box allows the engine to rev to about 7500 RPM.
Prop RPM is 2630 so the prop tips are subsonic.
That allows a p-port engine to make about 250 HP
