Hey Gang, Milo. I need a standard transmission flywheel Need not be servicable
in a regular sense to be modified for an alternator/ignition mockup. Are all
manual transmissions flywheels the same? A junker from any model would be Ok
if it would fit an RX8 block. Have fitted a 15 amp alternator between the
flywheel and engine block, and mechanically it fits, now need to test the
mechanical aspects on a test rig driven by an electric motor. We will shave
the flywheel to fit. As soon as we have run it a bit will publish the
details. Milo

Will you pay for shipping Milo? It's heavy around 35 pounds.
Or you can wait until the beginning of Oct when I will be driving through Tx.

Send me your shipping address by private email.

This is an excellent idea with or with out the alternator/ignition.
The manual transmission flywheel is much stronger in the hub area than the auto tx
flex plate where you need it. We have trouble with flex plate cracking near the hub
on high power engines.

All you need to is find a lathe that can handle 13 inches diameter and machine off
the unneeded weight.
