The new simple computer board arrived. Cost was $55. Workmanship is excellent.
It is made in Belgrade (no longer communist) by mikroElektronika.

It uses the AVR version of the 8051 called  the AT89S8253.

This board will plug into a larger board with a the injector drivers, CAS
conditioning circuit, ignition drivers and MAP sensors.

The pin configuration is simple and the instruction set is much like the 6502.

I think it will send out engine parameter data through the USB I hope. You will need
a communication terminal program in your notebook computer. Most are free.

One of these per rotor will be used.
