I have ordered this ARM board to build a EFI system around, written in ARM
compiled
BASIC.

It should be here in a few days DHL.

We shall see how it goes.

I should have something running in about a week.

I am working on two systems. I am working on a parallel approach as well with
a real simple and old CPU (8051 not a C8051) controlling mostly hardware.

If you are interested in the simple system let me know. It will very limited but it
is quicker to build and program I hope. I will be testing some of the hardware in a
few days. I'll know then if it is going to work.

   Hey Paul,

   I was thinking about leaning on the way home tonight.  How about this.

   Put a rheostat/pot in the cockpit that adjusts a simple voltage divider
   so that the output can be varied across some arbitrary range.

   Connect said output to the A side of an A/D.

   Read the knob position from the D side of the A/D and use that as the
   multiplier for the pulse width generator.

   You wouldn't even have to use a high fidelity A/D.  Eight bits would be
   overkill for our purposes.  Set the knob in the center and use that as
   the base.  Higher is richer, lower is leaner.
