This rather brilliantly cuts thru all the political doublespeak we get.

   Lesson # 1: per year

    U.S. Tax revenue: $2,170,000,000,000
    Fed budget: $3,820,000,000,000
    New debt: $ 1,650,000,000,000
    National debt: $14,271,000,000,000
    Recent budget cuts: $ 38,500,000,000

   Let's now remove 8 zeros and pretend it's a household budget:*

    Annual family income: $21,700
    Money the family spent: $38,200
    New debt on the credit card: $16,500
    Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710
    Total budget cuts so far: $3xx.xx8xx5xx

   Got It ?????


   OK now Lesson # 2: Here's another way to look at the Debt Ceiling:

   Let's say, You come home from work and find there has been a sewer
   backup in your neighborhood....and your home has sewage all the way up
   to your ceilings.

   What do you think you should do ......

   Raise the ceilings, or pump out the crap?

   According to the American networks (even Fox News) the Man From Kenya is
   not going to
   relinquish the second term easily. I was really surprised by the fact that
   he was
   leading The Banker by so many points in the polls. I realise it`s early
   days yet, but
   where is the walk-over everyone was expecting?

 I think the polls are an attempt to mislead the populous. I try to talk to
 people about the president, and what I have found is many people that admit
 to voting for Obama last time that will definitely not this time no matter
 who the other candidate is. As we drive up and down the Keys, I saw one
 sign for Obama at the NE end of the Keys, and on my trips all the way to
 the other end I have not seen one Obama sign in a yard. I finally saw an
 Obama bumper sticker on a car the other day, and the tags indicate it is
 from a county up toward the panhandle not from here. Given the number of
 tourists that come here, I would have expected to have seen more bumper
 stickers if it was going to be a landslide like they say.

 I see no evidence that the vast majority of the country is planning to make
 that mistake again.

The lack of Obama bumper stickers is the direct result of the Cash For
Clunkers program.  It did nothing for the auto industry but it did a
great job at removing a lot of Obama bumper stickers from the road.
