1:28.:648.  Alessandro Balzon was on the pole in a Ferrari 458 at 1:27.594. A whole second quicker. We will have to beat them on reliability.

Tod Kaneko Manager Mazda Advanced Engineering is here and we briefly discussed rotary engine range extenders. Tod has been on the list for years and I first met him in Japan in 2004 at the factory.
