Had some time and put a light weight rotor(picture) in my ground test single rotor.
The engine is starting and running fine. The smoke, because of the lack of oil rings,
does not go away until 5000 RPM+ and 22” MAP.
This is certainly not acceptable for aircraft operation.
Have I overlooked something?

Has it been run anywhere else?

I suppose it was intended for a racing engine that never gets below 7000 or 8000 RPM.
Measure the pressure in the crankcase with a water manometer at different MAPs.
