Stewart Reed is putting together a presentation that traces the
history of aircraft, space technology and racing technology filtering
down to production cars.  We have discussed numerous examples, and I
have sent him links to a variety of websites and other sources.

If you have a chance, perhaps you will send Stewart an email and see
if he is still looking for additional reference.  We discussed
everything from disc brakes to fuel injection to the Hindenberg space
frame to Bill Millliken's computer simulation of Watkins Glen for F1.
But I'm sure there are things we have missed.
