I feel sorry for everybody in the US. 50% of them were dumb enough to bring it on
themselves. They have no idea what they just did. Perhaps they will figure it out in
the next four years.

IMHO the next 4 years will be a disaster. Grid lock (as it should be.) and 20
trillion dollars in US debt. I am not sure the US will ever recover.

I am very old and it will not affect me much one way or the other but a wonderful
country to live in has just been destroyed. Private aviation is finished as the price
of fuel will not come down. The finest health care in the world will be decimated. We
are now well on the way to becoming a third world nation.

You are correct.  The most accurate way I can think of to describe Obama is that he
is a lying, narcissistic, Marxist, megalomaniac.  At best he is clueless about what
made this country great and how to keep it that way.  At worst he knows exactly what
he is doing and is doing it to destroy our society.  The outcome of this election
causes me to be embarrassed to be an American for the first time in my life.  It is
an extremely sad state of affairs.  My wife is from Southeast Asia.  Even as corrupt
as their government is, it is less intrusive than what our government has become.  I
planned on spending the winter months in Thailand when I retire.  However, now I am
inclined to take up permanent residence there.  Many would consider it to be a third
world country but the standard of living in the USA is headed in that direction and
living there will probably be safer than living here when things come unglued as they
most assuredly will under Obama's watch.  The only valid reason I see to staying here
is to fight the good fight without regard to concerns of a safe and comfortable
retirement.
