I feel sorry for everybody in the US. 50% of them were dumb enough
to bring it on themselves. They have no idea what they just did. Perhaps
they will figure it out in the next four years.

IMHO the next 4 years will be a disaster. Grid lock (as it should be.) and 20
trillion dollars in US debt. I am not sure the US will ever recover.

I am very old and it will not affect me much one way or the other but a
wonderful country to live in has just been destroyed. Private aviation
is finished as the price of fuel will not come down. The finest health care
in the world will be decimated. We are now well on the way to becoming
 a third world nation.

 Paul,

I couldn't agree more. I can't say I am surprised, but I am not only disgusted, I am
 disappointed.

  Hi Paul,
There is a saying that, "people get the government
they deserve", but I think it is very hard on those who know which way
the path will lead, where everybody thinks they deserve the
government,(ie. the taxpayer), to give them everything! Like all those
in Europe who think they, (in France at least) should only work 4 days a
week, retire at 55 years, get a living pension, health care, ect..
Nobody seems to think "where will the money come from"? In Europe the
money comes from Germany, they do not want to go down that route because
they know what happened after WW1. Because if one is to retire at 55
years one could expect to live to around 80 years, so 80 minus 55 is 25
years of living off the taxpayer, when one has only worked 35 years, say
from 20 plus 35 to 55, and the pension 60 years from when one started
paying taxes is a lot more than one ever paid in taxes.
                  John Burey.
