This is probably one of the most important ones. The FAA says that more
experimental planes go down due to fuel system issues than any other single
reason. The culprit- usually neoprene hose failure. So, I will try to keep
neoprene hose out of the recommended system.
Most planes get our fuel from our wing tanks, but no matter it all comes
down to a supply and return pipe. We need recommended sizes, valves, etc.
1. Do you use a boost pump in addition to the EFI pump?
2. Do you use one tank at a time or both?
3. What fuel selector valve do you use?
4. What EFI fuel pump do you use?
5. If you use carbs, what fuel pump do you use?
6. What engine did you use?
7. Is it Turbo?
8. What turbo?
Carbs:
1. What carbs do you use that work?
2. How did you handle carb heat?
3. Is your engine P port or stock?
4. How long are your intake tubes?
5. How do you read RPM?
EFI:
1. What computer did you use?
2. What injectors?
3. How many Injectors per rotor?
4. How did your fuel system go through the firewall?
General:
We need to know how you monitor your engine.
1. Mechanical or electric gauges?
2. What mfgr and type?
