This uses a 1.5 inch OD .125 wall 4130 tube for the nose gear
strut. It is bent at a 45 degree angle with a 10 inch radius.
You need to search Google for a short 2 inch air cylinder
for the damper. The latest trick in shocks is to use a separate reservoir
and the ID of the small tube connecting the two controls the damping.
BTW Zero manufacturing makes some great oil pans.

These cylinders might work. Connect the upper port to
a pressure can with small tubing. Fill the can about half way with
hydraulic fluid. The remaining air in the can will serve as the spring.
A two inch stroke might be about right.
BTW I just discovered Linux and my display will do this.
Very useful when it comes to screen captures of web pages.

Alex, I will give you a list of materials to order from AC Spruce
or any other 4130 tubing supplier.
Alex, Do Rite can also weld the oil pan. Zero does not stock a suitable
deep drawn pan so Do Rite will have to weld it from sheet.
Here are the dims on the four 4130 .049 wall tubing sizes.
1/2 inch round for the lower diagonal bracing.
1 inch round for the lower compression struts.
3/4 inch round for everything else.
3/4 by 1 and a 1/2 .049 rect. for the rear beam.
Add it all up and order
it and have it dropped shipped to me.

I have an RX8 steel oil pan we can get the hole
pattern from.
