I started playing with the Arduino and got a LCD display to do the hello
world thing.

  It seems really user friendly  I would like to build an engine monitor
using the sensors for the rotary.  What would you suggest for an oil
pressure sender?  DIY suggested for Mega squirt use the GM sensor for temp
but does not go into detail on an oil pressure sensor.  I don't know if MS
requires the parameter.

  My last day at Goodrich landing gear is the 21st. Plant closes and all
of
the F-15, F-16, F-18, C-17 amd F35 production was moved the Fort Worth.  I
accepted an offer to work for Boeing and am being vetted now so this
should
be fun.

Arduino is over-rated.  Look into NXP's LPC Series Arm Processors.
They are fast.  Great peripherals and timers.
