Does anyone have a RX8 Rotary engine bell housing they are not using, and would

I hope you can adapt your unit to the 13B REW (92-99) REW AT housings as well?

The auto tranny is the one to get. Both will work.

Do all the auto trannies have the starter in the lower aft position, that
  desired for our plan?

No 3rd gen cars 1993 to 2004  auto tranny have the starter on the side of the engine
from the driver view I think. The RX8 manual is back down in the old position.
That is most common in the U.S..

It is the one to go for but it is not the prettiest.
