Paul,
I have a set of RC giant scale plans which came online as a
pdf (raster). What would be a good program for converting
bulkheads and ribs to dxf for a CNC router?
I'm following the Rhino posts, very interesting!

Good question. I don't know the answer.
Sounds like some kind of scanner program that can detect
lines.

Rhino can put a picture in the back ground but then you must
manually trace it.

The pdf was too big so I converted it to a jpg
