I bought a new notebook and it had windows 8 on it
if you buy it it will piss you off big time
microshit wants to totally control you.
I was so pissed I thought of suing Fry's.
Fortunately I will take the drive out and replace
it with a blank drive and install Mint.

Paul, Anytime you can buy a stand alone full install of a MS operating
system for $26 through Staples you know it isn't much for features. I
heard it was just an internet browser with file system.
If your new box is intel i5 or higher you can partition for a dual boot
on your new HD and install Mac snow loepard as an alternate in
order to run software not available for Linux. I bought snow leopard
new with one seat licence on E-bay for $28 with free shipping to add for
a tripple boot on a new 3Tb drive with win7 and linux 12

I think the problem is; it pissed off so many people the word
is out on the internet and nobody will buy it or the computers it is installed on.
It is very tablet like. If I wanted a tablet I would have
bought a tablet :)
