Hi Paul & All,
Getting the 13b single rotor ready to run,
Am in the process of fabricating a test stand,
Q1. Do you have drawing for various engine mount bolt holes for the Vans series. I plan to run the 20b on the stand with
RV10 mount after 13b runs are completed.
I'm following Richard Sohn's lead with Hirth gearbox on the 13b single rotor, I have the G50, 2.58.
Q2. Richard any comments on your Hirth now that your flying it?
I bought an Alu. water pump p/n gmb 145-1180, has casting gmb mz18, note end stud hole absent?
Q3. Will the prop centerline offset of 3 1/4 in. have a significant effect on E-shaft C/L torque measurement?
Best Regards,

Q1. This is the RV10 with the old bottom rear mount and Schertz beam.
The top mout and Jeff's plate would simplify things.
Q3. I am not sure what you mean here. Can you sent a sketch?
Paul Lamar
Paul,
Thanks for firewall Info.
Q3. With the e-shaft aligned with the test stand rotational axis,
the hirth gearbox will put the prop 3 1/4 in. above the axis.
I plan to install a 1.125 in. diameter hyd. cylinder 1 ft. outboard from axis to indicate torque in ft/lb.
How much error will the 3.25in. offset above centerline creat?
Rolland
In theory none. But I would move the pivot axis to the gear box center line
to be sure.
