Joe Berki was in town today and the subject of a side draft carb
with a slide valve came up again. We discussed this in the distant
past. We already have parts for the slide valve on the web site but
the Holley float bowl would not fit between the p-port centers. I
just had the idea of using two 90 degree tube bends and cutting them
in half and rotating one half 180 degrees to make S turns and Tig
welding them together.

All we need is a half inch al plate with a few small fuel passage
holes drilled in it and two venturis NC machined in it.

The hard parts to make are in the Holley float bowl assembly so no
need to make them. They are off the shelf. Leaning kits are available
for Holley carbs.

I have an RX8 p-port engine I can run it on.

With CD ignition no computer is needed.

This takes a lot of time out of installing a rotary. Simple and very
reliable.

That looks so simple and reliable, Could you also design a single rotor
version, with diagrams of the process. Including the small fuel passage
holes drilled & venturis machining required.

Yes but it will be awhile. I have my plate full at the moment. In the mean time obtain a Holley and study it.
Anybody could copy it.  Can you make drawings. I recommend getting a student version of Rhino and learn
how to use it.
