I just got home after spending spent part of three days at OSH. I did
not manage to find a single rotary powered aircraft on the line.
Also ... I did not see any of our tax dollars at work; no USAF or
AirGuard aircraft in all the usual places. The large Plaza area was
mostly empty for the first two days of my visit. FedEx finally showed
up with one of their big freight-haulers, but aside from that the
place was rather empty.
I suspect that Wisconsin Governor Walker's stand against some of
Washington's favorite causes is the reason for us Wisconsinites
being treated as the ugly sister.
My guess is that the number of attendees was down too. though the
weather was rather cool, even cold, on Monday

Same thing at the Dayton air show. The pointed lack of all military
equipment is a result of the Republicans allowing Obama's sequester
to pass into law unopposed. The presidents team had full budget
authority and chose to make this 2.2% reduction as obvious and
painful as possible. This to be expected when you hire a man born in
Kenya, raised as a Muslim in Indonesia, and converted to Communism by

I agree with Lynn's observation about lack of Republican pushback. It
looks like they
are too busy lining their pockets and protecting their largest campaign
contributors to
care about real problem solving. Example? Repeal Obamacare, but then
we go back
to 11 million+ who can't afford to go to the doctor. The Bush
administration ran
everything for 8 years and they didn't get it done. I am a Republican
but I can also
understand how average folks got squeezed to death by robber-baron
mentality. We
Republicans like to grouse about entitlement mentality, but we don't
think about our
penchant for raising rents, stifling competition, corrupting our
political process, paying
only "competitive wages" all of which can be very discouraging to the
average Joe.
Even though I despise him, I believe THAT is why people vote for the
likes of Obama.
As a dentist, I can tell you that in the medical and dental community,
getting rich seems
to be job 1 and ethical, conservative, cost-effective patient CARE can
often be an
afterthought.

There is corruption in both parties.
The free market is not about fair. It is about prosperity. With out
wealth there is no well fare.
It is not for nothing that communism and uber socialism fails.
Back in the old days you either worked or you starved. Of course the
people living off the dole
had/have no medical insurance. Get a job and buy some.
Anybody in the pre Obama US could apply their nose to the grindstone,
save their excess income
and die wealthy. That is why the rest of the world wanted to live here.
When taxes are too high and there is no excess income that stops.
