Since I am not going to run the 3 rotor TC in a vehicle
I was thinking of using a cheap 110 volt to 220 volt AC transformer
and use a voltage doubler circuit to jack it up
440 volts DC.

What do you guys think?

Will save a whole bunch of money.

 Nothing wrong with the AC source, but that's a spark energy of only
45mJ. In contrast an old school inductive circuit with 10mH coil
charged to 6A would be 180mJ.

It works never the less. Most racers use the MSD CDI system.
It punches through fouled spark plugs due to the rapid rise time.

The advantage is; no computer is necessary for high RPM.
It fires when it is told to fire and not 4 ms to 10 ms later.
