I needed a large hole in a 3/8th aluminum plate
to mount the 750 CFM Holley.

The usual way of doing this is cut the band saw blade,
pass it trough a small hole, cut the large hole
and cut the blade again to get it out. That is why band saws
have blade welders.

I did not do it that way. I just cut into the center of plate.

This only works if you have a tig welder to plug
the saw cut. Otherwise I would have an intake leak.

    How about a router w/ a carbide bit and pattern ? Virg
