Paul,
The arduino based engine monitor is coming along.
I currently have a RX8 trigger wheel and sensor that will feed the
Tracy's EC-4 box.
Can I feed the engine monitor off of the same sensor for a tach value
displayed via the arduino?
What kind of signal conditioning is required so I can keep the EC-4
happy.
I think the EC-4 is the same as the EC-3 but with just one processor.
Thanks for any help.

The RX8 trigger wheel requires some sophisticated programing to derives
the necessary information
from it. I have no idea what the EC-4 does inside. Tracy does not
release the source code.
Put a carb on it :)

Paul,
How is the carb install going?

Here are some pictures of the side port RV4 carb installation.
The new ignition design shows so much potential for reducing the fuel burn
I am working full time on that. I suspect and hope there will be about
3 or 5% more
power for the same fuel burn and lower hydro carbon emission.
This has applications for all rotary engines world wide. It will fire
multiple times at high RPM unlike MSD units. Every 10 or 20 degrees
during the complete expansion stroke. See the attached 3D of the trigger
wheel.
It will come with the coil built in. You will need 4 units. Top and
bottom plugs
will fire at the same time. They could fire at different times using a
computer.
There is no dwell time so you could use a carb with out a computer
to fire the plugs. They will fire within a uSec when you tell them to fire
with the CAS.
At this point in time the complete system units are 3 b 2 by 4 inches
including the coil.
I am looking for a good source on HV coils. Custom made.
