hi,
are you have rx8 porting templates?
thank you
vins lee
I don't recommend porting the RX8 engine. It is cheaper to p-port and
you get far
more power.

Paul,
I'm new to all of this, although I've been interested in rotary
engines since they came out.
What is a P-port?

In the youtube video demonstration of a tandem Autogyro.
I believe the Mazda 12a is the power plant.
Could you also have used the 13b .
I am assuming the power requirement is between 100- 110 hp
Regards
Zahid
Yes. The power could be much higher. Perhaps as much as 150 HP.

Sorry,It is my fault that in my previous email I have not provided
enough information to get the answer I a looking for.
My end goal is to have a mazda rotary power plant for my parsons tandem
and the project completed in the next 12 months.
(saving as much money as possible).
So far I have the drawings of parsons tandem (attached).
I also have in my possession Bruce Turrentine's video on overhauling the
13b mazda roatry engine.
Having seen it I believe I can overhaul the Mazda 13b engine.( not sure
about the 12a I do not have knowledge of the differences between the two)
The reason I ask the question is because I am starting a project and it
seems me to be that
the 13b engine is easier to get hold of than 12a and I have video
showing on how to overhaul it.
I am currently waiting forthe aviator's guide to rotary conversion by
Tracy Cook to get a better idea of what is involved in the conversion
after the rebuild of engine.
I know there is a lot of documentation on the website , but for me I
need a step by step guide.
I am looking for guidance for my project, at the moment I am looking
for a recommendation on whether I should use the 12a as per video or
should I use 13b for my parsons tandem.
regards,
Zahid
