This would be a good candidate for a rotary, I think. Turbo compound 4 rotor? I like big airplanes.

Ducted fan will not get them over 130 MPH or so.

The other major problem is water spray through the prop.

That looks a bit like that Candaian twin boom design which DID fly,
but without any ducted fan. It came in both single and twin models
if I remember,,,,,,big floats on the twin booms.
