This would be a good candidate for a rotary, I think. Turbo compound

That ducted fan will probably go by the wayside before production
begins. Ducted fans have proven to be very inefficient at high speeds
due to the enormous drag they impart. It might contribute to shortened
take off runs which don't count for much for most amphibious operations.
There's usually plenty of water available for that.
It's also very difficult to get the blade tip clearance down to an
efficient gap. The engine doesn't really want to sit still, and the
duct doesn't want to either. It takes a lot of heavy structure to meld
the two together into a single unit that moves in sync. It's not pretty
when they both try to occupy the same space at the same time.
