  Blanik gliders were very common in European nations
  outside the socialist block, a former German sailplane
  used for teaching, the 'Bergfalke' had the same stepforward
  wings the Blanik has, this helps in maintaining the gravity
   center within a range easy for airplane stability, and give
  the pilot a good sight over terrain.

   By the way, some years ago, a full size glider flying version of the
   Messerchmitt Me-163 Komet, painted in red, attended
   several air festivals, it had an accident that killed its woman
   pilot, accident is in a YouTube video, I don't like at all to watch
people die,
  so I didn't watch this video, but would like having a reference
  for looking for information about the reasons for that accident,
 if there's some.
