I have a friend in Germany that has a bachelors degree in
Physiotherapy.

He makes 3000 euro a month. One eurois $1.40 USD.

He pays 400 euro a month for "free" health
insurance and 1100 euro a month in income taxes.

Fuel is 1.55 euro per liter.
4 liters is about 1 gallon US so fuel cost 6.20 euroa gallon.

That is 8.68 USD a gallon. Since the realcost of gas is $2.50 USD
That works out to a taxof $6.18 USD per gallon!!!!!!!

To ride the subway all day is 6.30 euro about $9 USD.
One must get to work and get home.

Now we have the %12 to %18 VAT tax
on everything you buy with thepossible exception of food.

My friends pays about 900 euro a month in apartment rent, water, heat
and electricity. No elevator in that apartment house. You carry your
luggage up five flights of stairs.

That leaves 600 euro a month for food and entertainment.

No car payments yet let alone a private airplane or boat.
Fortunately parking is free in that part of Frankfurt but it is tough to
find an open space most of the time. You may have to walk a couple of
blocks.

The German people believe it is impossible to save money and start
a biz.


Now the Dems want us to become more like Germany.

I say get rid of all the Dems in the next election.

Paul, back in the '90s we went to Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The tax in
Denmark on the purchase of an automobile is 100%. Consequently lots of
bicycles.

Some US celeb (I think Oprah? but not sure) was talking to a Denmark
resident about the extremely small apartment that she lived in, and asked
"Where do you put your stuff?" the answer was 'What stuff?'

Europe is a feed lot for slave labor and sex is allowed :)
