This was supposed to be a part of Abrams upgrade package:

With quick search I couldn't find test results. Plenty of talk on
TARDEC about using fuel cells on M1, but not a word about how this
one turned out.

In the CFD animation (anim_roto3.gif) it shows an offset
chamber/depresion in the rotor face. It reminds me of a NACA scoop. This
is suppose to create more torque during the expansion cycle. I know this
idea has been discussed but don't recall the merits.

Are you aware if anyone has tested this concept?
Are you aware of any testing Mazda may have done on offset combustion
chamber in the rotary engine?
