This is what a Chev small block V8 distributor
looks like without the points. The optical trigger
will be mounted on the same plate. Both centrifugal advance
and vacuum advance will still work.

The trigger wheel will look like this.
It is keyed to the octagonal points cam.

For aradial AC engine mag a similar modification can be made.
Instead of 8 groups of holes in the disk only 7 will be used.

Russ, if you have some old mags that don't work send them
to me so I can get an idea of the mods that could be made.
