Paul, Dominic the chief of microtech, is now asking for one of your
coils to test on his bench to see what he can do regarding setting up
his computer for multi spark.  Says it is no problem to do, but is
still thinking dwell time.  He cannot believe that your coil does not
need a dwell time.  Apparently seeing is believing.  Is there any
chance I can get one to give him soon??

In order to demo it with a computer controlling
the trigger it would require extensive and time consuming
reprogramming.

The computer must send out a 20 usec trigger pulse every 5 degrees
for six sparks.

It is best for me to come over with my little electric motor
driven trigger wheel, a spark plug wire current sensor
cannibalized from a timing light and a portable oscilloscope.

Unless of course somebody over there will build
a electric motor trigger mech.

Also a cheap single chip computer could be programed
in BASIC for just the trigger job.

As I understand  microtech is some what north of Sydney
near Newcastle.

Flying all that way for just a day or two demo does not
make a lot of sense.  Perhaps at the next air show when
ever that is.


Do you need help on the farm now or soon?
Robin is still interested in driving the tractor but she
is worried about the responsibility for such an expensive
machine :)
