Here it is. The down going slope on the lower trace is
the trigger for firing the smart RX8 coils. The RX8 coils
are energized by a 2 msec pulse from the stock EFI computer.
When this pulse shuts off the coils spark the plugs.
That triggers the analog tach CMOS 555 one shot circuit that
generates the control voltage for the KA331 voltage to frequency
circuit. These pulses in turn trigger the Lamar Instruments high
speed CD ignition to fire roughly every 5 degrees.
More work to do but this is the hard part.

The osc is way too high frequency. I need to slow it down.
The trigger is the lower scope and the osc is the upper scope.

It is almost working. Here is the current schematic and scope pictures.
Top trace is the output of the CD4018 divide by six counter.
One cycle is the osc gate for six ignition pulses starting at 20 degrees
BTDC.
Next trace on top scope is the ignition triggers.
These will be gated so there are only six.
The trace on the lower scope is the processed signal
from the CAS.
All coming together nicely.
One hurdle to go.
I'll have the RX8 running on my ignitions soon.
I will be able to measure the fuel burn with the built in OBD II.
