It is almost powerful enough for an EFI system. Especially with a
little help from these circuits.
Use the reset connected to the CAS line as a hardware interrupt.
It is very easy to program. My golden retriever Suzzy could do it if
she had fingers instead of paws :)

That micro has been around for a long time, like the Rabbit. I think
there are many small micro's that can do lots, but the simple
circuits that are floated around this group are exciting.

and I am going to get her started programming with it.

Paul and friends, there is a huge and very enthusiastic community around
the various Atmel chips that become Arduino and Broadcom chips that
become Raspberry Pi. Once you have learned about the I2C bus and the
various "breakout board" modules that are already made with all kinds of
sensors and interfaces, things become a lot easier. The best sources I
have found for these are adafruit.com and sparkfun.com, there are lots
of devel kits, tutorials and such that will get you started. All of the
designs are open source and there are many small shops in China making
knockoffs for a few pennies over materials cost.

Yep but the ARM is more powerful than the AVR and it runs ARM BASIC.
I invested a lot of time in Z-BASIC running on the AVR a few years ago.
The hardware was difficult to interface with and then the ARM became
available so I gave up.
I believe the ARM is widely used in tablets and cell phones.
I don't care for Arduino C. It is a bit tedious. I am a BASIC fan
starting with QB.
QB64 is now available for Windows so people can learn that.
However the Arduino Integrated Development Environment appears to
becoming a standard.
It appears that Corodium has ported thier ARM BASIC to that IDE.
Is that correct Terry?
The roots of the ARM is/are the 6502. I know 6502 assembly language so if
necessary I could program in ARM assembly.
BTW I attended the embedded world conference in Nuremberg in March.
This has got to be the world largest trade show. Hundreds of thousands
of people showed up.
