Well air has mass but not as much as the fuel. That turn at the port
entrance into
the combustion chamber has to promote separation of the air/fuel mix. Then
the
centrifugal force as the rotor goes around, tries to throw it against the
rotor housing.


Direct injection would work better even keeping the side ports. Do not
misunderstand
as the p-port is much more efficient. Using stock or street ported is OK
considering cost.
After that p-ports are the undisputed solution provided allowed in rules.
If rules allow, an engine built with RB end housings (20B wide housing from
RX7 Specialties) will give more power.
