Hi Paul,

Still a bit stuck with  implementing torque meter.

When I search for drive shaft torque meters I have found ones like
on this website

We are not measuring the torque on the input shaft directly.

We are measuring the reaction of the helical gear to applied torque.

I sent this before so make a folder called torque meter and copy
them to that folder.

Zahid, You can also install it under the loaded side mount where the
engine torque will press down on it. You can use a small hydraulic
ram like from a porta-power or make your own. Just needs a hole in
the center for the bolt. Zero the pressure gauge with just the
engine weight on it. Another way is a piezo load sensor.

Here are a few pictures of what you are talking about Dale.

Ahhh!

When the input shaft turns, the  angular characteristics of the helical
gear teeth insert in the ford carrier will generate a force.
This force(pressure) is directed towards the engine.
rather than ignoring it as some have , we want to measure the amount of force/pressure generated.

p.s. It took man 10,000 years to invent a strap for a shield which
means that the warrior can carry the shield on his back until battle.

You got it. Congratulations.
Well put.
