Hello Paul We are working on a new conceptual helicopter project,
and have come to the conclusion that the only engine type suitable
for this is the Wankel Rotary. Turbines would of course be nice
but the cost is not. Aircraft engines are also heavy as well as
costly.

Power needed is at least 300HP, but 400 better.  What would your
recommendation be ? -  a standard 3-rotor Renesis with light
boost, perhaps perhaps 3-6 Lb. -  a 4-rotor (26B)
naturally-aspirated -  a turboed 13B -  something else

I recommend a turbo P-port 2 rotor running on auto fuel. 400 HP
for take off and about 300 HP continuous. Half the fuel burn of a
turbine with about the same weight.

Here is a 650 HP AC time to climb version running on alcohol with
water injection. Weight is 220 pounds with a Bell 47 gear box and
Racing Beat end and centre housings.

Jim does not do email. You need to call and ask from Jim Mederer.

The cost of the engine was $30,000.  A large part of that
was R&D. You need to make it clear you can afford the engine.

Then and only then will he consider making and selling another one.
