This is a Harbor Freight cross slide vise.

I improved the operation of this device by merely
adding four Delrin thrust washers.  One on each side
of the thrust plates. It now functions ten times
smoother. Also less back lash.

Good for milling small aluminium and plastic parts
in your drill press.
