Good morning Georges Finally I did,t go to Sun&Fun it's my birthday
today and my wife did organized a party surprise brunch yesterday and
I was ready to go Saturday and comeback Sunday, anyway it will be for
next year .

Jean, NOW THAT’S IMPRESSIVE. I need to catch up on Paul's site to
see if there are additional details. Did you have any problem with
the bolt up to the back of the Mazda engine. If you are not using a
drawing I sent you could I have one of the interface you came up
with If you are using "standoffs" between the block and gearbox you
might save time getting them from the Cozy Girls who do CNC milled
versions that really look impressive. George Grimes

Almost done before assembly. I do have the end shaft to be treated
22mmX 1.5 for the safety nut and groove one one side to lock it .
Then treated and annealed both shaft at Rockwell 60. I will try to go
at Sun&Fun this Saturday and comeback Sunday. Few photos for your

Clever use of a sprint car quick change bell.

Those big ball bearings are way over kill and very heavy Jean.

A planetary puts no load on the bearings except in a spin or stall
and then it is not much.

Much lighter to use needle bearings like the Ross. Old Lew Ross was
a good engineer and he got it right back in 1973. RIP.

Jean's box will work of course. Just heavier than it needs to be.
