Paul I did received the planet with the 3 gears to compare with the front planet size and it show the same size but the housing is aluminum, I turn the sun gear and it look it have lot of backlash.
I should received the new 6 gears planet within the few day.
The gears shafting as you said is over 58" + dia.
The planet logs are  6" OD.
The 4 gears planet can be use cheaper and more available for regular pport rotary
