Hi Paul, I am building a highly modified Arion Lightning (amphibian)
with a Billet 13b turbo rotary engine. Do you know of anyone else
who has built a Lightning with a 13b engine?

I thought the Lightning was a low wing.

Hi Paul, Thanks for the reply, The lightning is a low wing which
keeps the centre of gravity low, how many sea planes do you see flip
A over T because the fuel and weight is up top in the wings.

We have built different wings and new  tail section for better lift
and control.

Side wear surfaces are  cast iron section inserts made from the same
material Mazda use, they had it analysed.

You will have to beef up the lower wing skin to take the spray.

Here is the ultimate amphibian. The Russian Berive. The wing is in
strong "ground" effect and it is impossible to drop it in and make a
hard landing. In Russia it was powered by two 3 rotor Mazda copy
turbo Wankels. No lie.

Goose amphibian flying with its Renesis 2-rotor running.
