I am constantly having to reformat text and unfortunately the email editor in Thunderbird does not have that feature.

   If you are running Linux there is a command line text editor called Joe.
   It is a clone of Wordstar that was one of the very first editors for DOS back in the late 70's.

   I learned it then and I still love it.

   To reformat all you do is press Ctr K J.

   You can cut and paste text in an out of joe.

   You can even see hidden characters by pressing Ctr T and set hex.
   HTML has a lot of hidden characters. I suspect NSA uses hidden characters to classify your email. They read all my email because it goes over seas.

   To save your file to the Desktop in joe type Ctr D and then Desktop/file-name.txt

   Help can always be on at the top of the screen.

   There are dozens of commands and it is very powerful. I could not edit the news letter with out it. It is lightening fast unlike Word.
   You can leave it open and cut, paste, erase, paste again.

   Runs on all versions of Linux I have tried  for at least 16 years.

I know that at KCRG there is a Cessna Stationair N833CG that is operated by the Justice Department that flies almost daily with the on board spoof gear that collects your cellphone data on what they call "routine surveillance flights". These are modified Stationairs that have an extra large view window cut in on the left side, a single seat in the back with all the radio gear where the operator sits. I have seen 3 at KCRG at one time, one from Tallahassee, one from Tampa and the one that stays here. The Pilot admits that they still collect cell phone data and they didn't stop. The government is still spying on us.
