Hey Paul,

I have decided to continue with the arduino running the ignition and
fuel injection, with my boards and the secondary system,
having the arduino send the engine's data from sensors to the colormax
on a two wire, and then the colormax will display
the engine data on some type of graphical data gauges.

The arduino gives me more versatility for running the engine, the
colormax does not seem to handle it in a efficient manner.
However the arduino will not display the data in a efficient matter, it
lags pretty bad generating graphics, however the

colormax does a fine job with 6 round analog style gauges graphically
and pretty fast and smooth.

I wish something like the colormax was around to run C# or maybe python,
but can not find such a single board pc.

Me too. I am hoping Mikroe will adopt a DOS. One can program their boards
in C, Basic and Pascal. All compilers.  Their hardware is second to
none. One can get a very
powerful and fast ARM processor version. They have a color touch screen.
Comes with the board. Up to 384 Kb of flash and 48K RAM.

If they put a MM style DOS on it program size would be limited only by
the 64Gig micro SD card.

Here is an ARM board I have. Mouser carries some of them.
They also ship at low cost from  Zagreb Croatia.

If everybody on here sent them an email telling them you want a Maximite
style DOS on board we might get it quicker. That would give a lot more
choices in VGA displays.

I visited them when I was at embedded world in 2014 and 2015. in Nurnberg.

Board looks nice, I think I remember reading it specs in a link you

had sent earlier. The only thing I am not so fond of is that it is
around 6x8in if I remember right.

I think a ver. Dos.1 would be a great place to start. Having some
options in what to program in would be outstanding.

Even being able to run Linux would be great, so simple and versatile
(I am only really familiar with Unbuntu) for the short period of time
I had to play with it.

Really I think another killer is the small amount of ram, 128mb would be
great but 512mb would be awesome and allow it to use a 64gb sd card for a

hard drive....so sweet.

The programs are stored in the 384 Kb of flash. The 48 K RAM is only used for
temporary files.
