Looks a lot easier than I thought.

It is so relatively simple all kernels should have
the option of real time. Perhaps they will in
the future.

I used Synaptic in a few second to load the Ketchup
app to my Mint desktop computer. Ketchup
automatically patches the kernel for real time.
I have not done it yet because I want to try
it with a test computer first.

Apparently all you do is run this ap and bingo
your Linux is real time with the highly desired low latency times.

Latency is the time it takes your OS to respond
to a hard ware interrupt.

Your selected real time app pre-empts all other apps.
( I think )

You have to read all this attached stuff and see
what you think.

I have waited 25 years for something like this.

Now if I had a compiled BASIC with hardware I/O
on Linux I would be in computer heaven.
