This has been an up hill battle. Several components where
improbably designed or improperly machined.
It has taken about 3 weeks or at least it feels like
3 weeks. Maybe more to fix everything.
The last thing that happened today was some of the bolts
holding the rubber coupling to the counter weight were
too long and they locked up the e-shaft. Turns out the
female part of the rubber coupling was improperly drawn
or it was improperly machined. Easy fix with two washer
under three of the bolts instead of just one.
For the new guys this 1000 pound air plane will climb vertically
at 175 MPH with 8 times the power to weight ratio of a
C172 and an 84 inch diameter prop. The 650 HP turbo rotary
engine is under 200 pounds including the turbo.
If we get the record nobody else will beat us unless
they use another Wankel rotary. The record will stand for ever.

From this perspective there should be no doubt that this
particular Rocket will really behave like a real Rocket. :-)
