I am into high performance engines so I am not very familiar
with the compound turbo. I would appreciate if someone has the time
 to explain it?

 Thanks David Jr.

You mean compound turbo or turbo compound?

Unfortunately some people are calling sequential turbo's "compound turbos"
confusing things. Here are some pictures of the sequential turbo's used
on the 3rd gen RX7 and the 3 rotor Cosmo sold in the rest of the world.

Now for turbo compound.
Download and read all this stuff on Turbo Compound. The wave of the future.
Now used on all Formula 1 engines and the old R3350 TC.
