Paul,
Just a question, I thought from some of your earlier posts that you were
going to use a calibrated exhaust leak to eliminate the wastegate. It looks
like there is still a wastegate on the exhaust. Did you guys change your
mind or is it the belt and suspenders approach?

Unfortunately belt and suspenders. I don't think JM totally
understood the air craft configuration. Still thinking car
and low RPM torque.
For example here is an O-470 chart. Prop load is almost
directly proportional to RPM unless the tips are going
transonic.
Note the fuel burn is much higher than the rotary at .47.
