I can take rotary engine parts with me which is not
practical if I fly. Not to mention the savings in hotel
rooms and rental cars. I can also take a nap in
the after noon :-)

I bought a Dodge Ram Promaster 110 inch wheel base version.
As far as I can tell it is the only monocoque (unit body)
front drive van  with 62 inches of head room on the market.
The floor is only 21 inches from the ground. Standard roof.
It is 1000 pounds lighter than your typical rear drive
channel steel frame sport ute, pick up truck or van
chassis. That means it gets much better gas mileage.
At 50 MPH rolling drag is half the the total drag so weight
has a large affect on low speed MPG. Payload is about
4000 pounds. It will tow 5000 pounds.

The turning circle is 36 feet which makes it easy to manoeuvre
in tight places and to parallel park. One can park it anywhere.
Even in residential areas. Not true for most motor homes.

It gets about 20 MPG at a steady 65 MPH. The side
view mirrors electrical retract and that adds 2 to 3 MPG
more on the flat at 65 MPH. There is an instant MPG read out on
the instrumental panel display.

The engines is a Mercedes design 3.6 L V6 with six speed
auto transmission. 24 gallon fuel tank with over 500 mile
range. The intake manifold maintains peak torque from
1600 to 6400 RPM. 280 HP and 260 ft pounds of torque.

That is almost as good as the RX8 intake manifold
however not as much torque. The RX8 is only 2.6 L
and not 3.6 L.  If we ever get a 16B that would be 3.2 L.
 A 3 rotor is 3.9 L. Torque deficiencies can be made up with
a good multi speed auto transmission if you have the HP
 of course.

Mercedes owned Dodge (  Chysler ) for awhile and now it is owned by
Fiat.

Auto Companies are international. GM make Buick's in China and they are
a big seller over there. Renault owns Nissan and Nissan's are big sellers in the
U.S.. Most auto parts  are made in China. That is why the standard of living around
the developed countries is deteriorating to the level of China. Vote Trump.

You think the economy is bad now wait till the Dems get in office again.
Twenty percent of whom are communist.  They vote for Bernie Sanders
and avowed communist. It is primarily the fault of our education system.
People  should be NOT be  allowed to teach until they have had a real job for
twenty years.

Time to quit work and become a parasite and  live off
the people  that are stupid enough to work. Those that fail to learn from
history are doomed to repeat it.  Russia all over again. Russia, after the iron
curtain came down was a 3rd world country.  A popular saying in Russia during
communism was: "We pretend  to work and the government pretends to pay us"
All hope and incentive for a better life is out the door. You might as well stay
drunk until you die. I know I was over there.
