We had the waste gate controller disconnected from the manifold
pressure in the Motec software.
This Motec stuff is so complicated and there is no good book on it.
There is a real NEED!!!!!!! FOR A MOTEC BOOK.
This is a 68 inch prop 50 pitch so it went to 6000 static at 55
inches of Hg
We are really getting there now.
More data shortly with the big prop.
Imagine the 1.25 open hole is still in the exhaust manifold.
The noise is amazingly painful. Even with a turbo charger. Even with
ear muffs. You have to press the ear muffs to your head and it still
HURTS!!!!!!.
No wonder my hearing is shot :-)

Here is the big prop data. We are seeing 36 inches of HG at 40%
throttle. We need to run this test configuration over at 100%
throttle.
What is amazing is the water cooling system. The engine is barely
getting over body temperature :-) I am beginning to think I over
designed it. This is the "hot" water out of the block. We may not
need the spray bar.
Dan, The smoke is coming from an oil leak on the turbo not in the
turbo. There are two nyloc nuts holding the oil feed fitting to the
top of the turbo shaft housing. Pete found one very loose. All metal
lock nuts of course :-)

The lambda scaling on the Motec mapping still needs a lower level of .65
to witness what the mixtures actually are.
You also have very lean cells in the 3500-4000 rpm and 26-28 in hug range.
As simple as it seems the correct mixtures will make a world of difference.

I wish I knew a long time ago you were up on this Motec stuff :-)
Obviously the mixture is way too rich. Perhaps we have the wrong O2 sensor.
As I understand it for alcohol it should be around .8
The lowest scaling I can get is .79
I don't know why it is limiting me to .65. Maybe you have a different
version
of the Motec software.
