Paul and Group, Bad luck today with my Q200/Cosmic Fish.  Ground loop

during a high speed taxi test damaged the canard and sheared one of

the mains completely off.  Mild prop damage, but engine still idling

when the plane came to rest.  After nine years, I've had enough of

this airframe.  The engine, however, has been a wonderful, mostly

enjoyable, education.  I'd like to offer it for sale, here, if anyone

   is interested.

All aluminum single rotor Mazda 13B.  Firewall forward installation.

All rotating components dynamically balanced at Mazdatrix--runs very

smooth Plugs up orientation. Compact and very effective muffler.

P-ported with Ellison EFS-3 throttle body injector. Ross 3.17 psru

modified with thrust bearings. (Planetary set might require

inspection/replacement due to prop strike--not terribly difficult or

expensive) Modified water pump, no thermostat, improved flow.

Excellent water and oil cooling systems. Solid state dual ignition

system, etc... Weighs around 200 lbs, firewall forward, depending on

choice of propeller. Estimated around 140 hp at 8200 rpm. Turns a 95

in pitch, 62 inch long prop at 6200 rpm static, at 4500 msl. Can

   supply video of running engine.

I'm in it about $10,000.  Looking for a reasonable offer.

   Lewis Bjork.

Really bad luck Lewis.

Sorry to hear that.

You did such a wonderful job of installation.

Is the canard broken or the main landing gear just sheared?

In other words is it repairable?

Now is not a good time to sell. If we get the right person in office about a

year from now and a little bit more would be a much better time as the

economy will start to improve with a vengeance if we are lucky I am right.

I would wait a few months until after the election to make a decision.

If somebody buys it my advice is to add a dry sump pump and do away with the

side oil pan.

That would give you room for a small turbo. Then you are looking at 2 to 3

hundred HP :-)

Hi Lewis,

I have a friend who has just completed a Quickie single place like

yours, he is looking for an engine, yours would be ideal. I will put in an

offer for $5,000 on his behalf.

         Cheers Chris Hoskins in NZ

Thanks for the offer.  Make it $7500. I’ll crate it, and include the cowl.  You pay for shipping.

Lewis. Bjork.

That it is a really good deal.  That cowl was a lot of labor.

Hi Lewis,
My friend says OK to $7500 and could you please include the engine
mounts also. We will need to decide how to pay, it's a lot of cash to deal with.
        Cheers, Chris Hoskins.
