This is with the new turbo and everything seems to be working fine.
The engine passed the compression checks with flying colors. The
plugs look great and the water injector lowered the intake air
temperature out of the compressor from 200 F to 140F.

Sorry about the shaking around. I was filming over Niles shoulder
while asking him questions.

Here is the video in low rez.

This will give you an idea of the capabilities of the  Motec EFI
system. The PC lap top is connected to the M800 CPU with a 20 foot
USB cable and a USB to CAN converter. That  $100 USB to CAN converter
normally would not be necessary in a later version of the Motec.  A
single USB cable would suffice.  This one is several years old.

The dash unit is connected  to the PC with an Ethernet cable. This is
all  a bit of a kludge and it all can be done with just one USB in
theory.  Some of the data  is in the M800 and some is in the Dash
Unit. It would be better if Motec put a 64 GIG SD card in the CPU
like a $60 Maximite has.

We plan to run it this coming week at a 45 degree angle of attack to
check the fluid  suctions. This will be done on the back of a flat
bed tow truck.

After that we are going to take it out to the desert and fly it.

Rolls Royce will be green with envy :-)

Dave Klingler

Thanks for the tip Dave. Unfortunately I cannot cut into the wiring
harness as the aircraft is not mine. Perhaps if I could find a mating
male version of this  round connector with female pins I could dope
out the wiring.  It almost looks like a old PC keyboard connector.
But unfortunately it is not.

That connector is a 5-pin XLR.

It is pretty common in stage intercom systems.  It should be easy to locate at an electronic supply house.

Thanks Lester. I will order one from digi key or Mouser.
